Kayla joined CrossFit FIG on December 1, 2023, seeking a new path to wellness. She was frustrated with the same old routine: endless hours on the elliptical, constant fatigue, and no visible results. She knew there had to be a better way, and CrossFit FIG turned out to be exactly what she needed.

The Transformation

Since starting, Kayla has achieved a 5% reduction in body fat and gained 5 pounds of lean muscle. These are not just numbers on a scale. They represent a complete shift in how she feels, how she moves, and how she sees herself. The fatigue that once defined her daily life has been replaced with energy and confidence.

Battling More Than Weight

Kayla's journey has been about more than physical transformation. She has battled anxiety and depression, and CrossFit FIG has become a crucial part of her mental health toolkit. The structure, the community, and the sense of accomplishment she gets from every workout have made a profound difference in her overall well-being.

Milestones

Just two months after joining, Kayla completed the CrossFit Open, a worldwide competition that tests athletes of all levels. She was also named Athlete of the Week, a recognition that meant the world to her. These milestones proved that she belonged, that she was capable of more than she ever imagined.

Favorite Movements

Kayla loves pull-ups and toes-to-bar. There is something about conquering movements that once seemed impossible that keeps her motivated and hungry for more.

Fun Fact

Kayla was born in Okinawa, Japan, and is self-taught in Japanese. Her determination and discipline extend far beyond the gym, and those same qualities are what drive her success at CrossFit FIG every single day.
