Hyrox Training

Hyrox is a functional fitness format that blends running with strength and endurance work. You do not have to race to train it. It builds a serious engine and full body strength, and it works just as well on its own or as an add on to your current CrossFit training. The format is simple: running paired with eight functional stations, scaled to wherever you are today.

The 8 Hyrox Stations

1000m SkiErg
50m Sled Push
50m Sled Pull
80m Burpee Broad Jumps
1000m Row
200m Farmers Carry
100m Sandbag Lunges
100 Wall Balls

Hyrox pairs perfectly with the work we already do at CrossFit Fig. The running base, the engine, and the strength we build in class carry straight into Hyrox style workouts. Add it to your routine to level up your conditioning and stamina. And if you ever decide to test yourself at a race, you will already have the training to back it up.

Open Gym

Open Gym is an exclusive add on for active CrossFit and Hyrox members. When there is no class running on the floor, the space is yours to train your own program, all the way up until 10pm. It is the simplest way to add volume, sharpen weaknesses, and get a session in when life does not line up with the class schedule.

Access between scheduled class times, open until 10pm
Exclusive to active CrossFit and Hyrox members
Extra training time for Hyrox athletes beyond the weekly class
Train at your own pace on the goals that matter to you

For Hyrox athletes this is a real advantage. The Hyrox class meets once a week, and Open Gym gives you the room to put in the extra running, sled, and station work that serious preparation takes. More reps, more practice, and a real shot at hitting your goals.

How to get access

Open Gym is available only as an add on to a current CrossFit or Hyrox membership and is not offered on its own. Access runs between scheduled classes until 10pm. Restrictions apply. Talk to our team for full details and to add it to your membership.

First Day Tips

What to Expect

Walking into a CrossFit gym for the first time can feel intimidating. Here's what your first visit at CrossFit Fig actually looks like.

Wear

Athletic clothes you can move freely in. CrossFit-specific shoes are a plus but regular sneakers work fine to start.

Bring

A water bottle. We have filtered water available to refill. Towel optional.

Arrive

10 minutes early for your first class so your coach can review movements and answer questions.

Expect

A warm welcome, a workout scaled to your level, and zero judgment. Everyone started somewhere.

Your Journey

When Will I See Results?

Consistency is key. Here's a realistic timeline of what members typically experience when they commit to 3-5 classes per week.

1
Week 1-2

Build the Habit

Learn the movements, meet the community, and start showing up consistently. Soreness is normal and it passes quickly.

2
Week 3-4

Feel the Difference

Daily tasks feel easier. You're sleeping better, have more energy, and your confidence in the gym is growing.

3
Month 2-3

See Real Changes

Clothes fit differently. Your lifts are getting heavier. Friends and family start to notice.

4
Month 6+

Transformed

You're stronger, leaner, and moving better than you have in years. CrossFit isn't a program anymore. It's just how you train.

Universal Scalability

How Scaling Works

Every single workout at CrossFit Fig is scalable. That means the workout is adjusted to match your current ability, not the other way around.

Weight Adjustments

If the workout calls for a 135 lb barbell and you're just starting out, your coach might have you use a 35 lb bar or even PVC pipe. You build up over time.

Movement Substitutions

Can't do pull-ups yet? No problem. Your coach will give you ring rows or banded pull-ups until you build the strength. Every movement has a progression.

Volume & Intensity

If the workout prescribes 5 rounds, you might start with 3. If there's a 20-minute time cap, your coach will help you pick a pace that's challenging but safe.
